About us…Who We Are
About us…..tired of passively witnessing the increasing aridity and suffering of our planet, we decided to take action and actively contribute to its recovery. Il Lombrico Infinito is a family-run business located in Cassine, a small village between Piedmont and Liguria, just steps away from the lush and fruitful hills of the Langhe region.
Our deep respect for nature and all living beings on Earth led us to make a personal lifestyle choice focused on environmental conservation. We first adapted our family habits to be as sustainable as possible, then took small steps toward building a company with the same ethical foundation, a clear vision, and a well-defined mission!
Our goal is to restore essential nutrients and life to the soil, strengthening and protecting it from the continuous damage caused by human activity.
This passion quickly led us to discover the incredible world of worms, starting our own worm farm and providing local, zero-mile products, including:
- Worm humus, a rich, natural organic fertilizer
- Pre-established worm beds for future breeders
- Eisenia Fetida and Eisenia Andrei worms, commonly known as Red California Worms and Veronese Worms
Additionally, we offer a soil regeneration service, rotating pre-established worm beds and creating customized projects tailored to each client’s needs.
About us….OUR PARALLEL PROJECT
In collaboration with another local breeder, we launched an eco-friendly initiative called “The Worm Cycle”, which aims to promote the use of vermicomposters made from recycled materials in both private and public settings. We actively work with schools, local gardening associations, and private citizens to spread the ethic of useful organic waste recycling, creating an infinite loop that increases worm populations and enhances the production of rich, organic nutrients essential for soil health.
By promoting this project, we encourage municipalities and local organizations to take responsibility for future generations and adopt sustainable practices.
